10.73 lakh were stolen allegedly by two watchmen guarding his building

Delhi University students vote to elect new union

New Delhi : Delhi
University students today cast their votes to elect a new union in a
poll which will decide the fate of 41 candidates. Tight security
arrangements have been put in place and Electronic Voting Machines were
used for the polling. "As many as 943 EVMs have been pressed into
service. There are 111 centres for the college elections and 130 for

Rupee gains 7 paise against dollar in the early trade

Mumbai : The rupee
today appreciated by 7 paise to Rs 46.65 a dollar at the Interbank
Foreign Exchange market in early trade, on capital inflows by foreign
funds. Dealers said fresh capital inflows into equities by foreign funds
and firming Asian currencies against the dollar kept the rupee
sentiment firm. The rupee had ended 8 paise higher at Rs 46.72/73
against the dollar in the previous session. Meanwhile, the Bombay Stock
Exchange index, Sensex rose by 78.01 points, or 0.42 per cent, to
18,316.32 points in opening trade today.
