NEW DELHI: Gas consumers in the power and fertiliser sectors can now look forward to a huge cut in their fuel bills.

The government is planning to slash levies on gas, including LNG, to 4% by moving natural gas to the “declared goods category.” This will reduce the price of gas by almost 8%, which will bring down power tariffs.
