Rains played spoilsport during the initial hours of polling to the keenly-fought Punjab Assembly elections as only five per cent of the voters exercised their franchise during the first two hours. "Presently the Election Commission is keeping its eye on the rain God. The incessant rain will have a fall out on the over all polling percentage," a Punjab election commission spokesman told reporters.
