It's official - Indian tennis sensation Sania Mirza has broken into the top 50 in the latest rankings of the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) released Monday. The 18-year-old, who is now ranked 48th in the world with 706.5 points, up 11 places from her ranking of 59 a week earlier, has thus fulfilled a vow that she took earlier this year.
