Ballarpur Industries today reported a 25% increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 168.88 crore for the year ended June 30, 2005 as against Rs 135.04 crore in FY04.According to a release issued by the company to the BSE today, total income increased to Rs 1,800.42 crore for the year ended June 30, 2005 from Rs 1,791.16 crore in FY04. A truck carrying 95 kg of poppy husk was impounded by police on Jammu-Srinagar Highway in Udhampur today and the driver arrested, police said.The truck, on its way from Sringar to Jammu, was intercepted at a check point on the highway in Kud, 100 km from here, police said adding the contraband was seized during search.
