NEW DELHI: The government may have to increase auto fuel prices while leaving prices of cooking fuel untouched to keep the larger vote bank happy in view of the forthcoming state elections. With losses on sale of cooking fuel increasing, the government may have little option but to hike auto fuel prices, to reduce losses of oil companies.
