TN lottery sellers campaign for DMK

Lottery sellers across Tamil Nadu are campaigning for the DMK-led coalition, hoping that their trade will be revived if the DMK captures power.
Nearly 25 lakh people, thousands of whom are disabled, had lost their livelihood three years back when Chief Minister Jayalalithaa banned the lottery business in the state.

Amritsar banker arrested for robbery

A part-time bank employee was on Thursday arrested for allegedly stealing Rs.3.8 million from the Union Bank of India in Amritsar, police officials here said.
The police nabbed Jatinder Singh, who earned Rs.50 as daily wages in the bank, within hours of the heist and said the entire amount was recovered from him.
