In a move that will affect the business of over 1,000 cable operators in north Delhi and over 800,000 homes with cable connections, North Delhi Power Ltd (NDPL), a joint venture of Tata Power and the government of Delhi, has initiated the removal and confiscation of illegal and unauthorised cables, wires, and other equipment of cable TV operators installed on NDPL's electricity poles, towers or street light poles.
